Emir Furkan Tekkalmaz is an Istanbul-based contemporary painter and visual artist.
Born on July 15, 1997, in Eskişehir, Turkey, he began his painting studies at Eskişehir Fine Arts High School in 2011. He was accepted into the Department of Painting at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University in 2015, studying in the workshops under Prof. Nedret Sekban and Dr. Ahmet Umur Deniz.
During his university years, Tekkalmaz expanded his practice into traditional techniques including lithography, fresco, sgraffito, secco, stained glass, and engraving. He served as a student assistant in the Fresco Workshop from 2019 to 2020 and graduated in 2020. In 2023, he began pursuing his Master's degree at the Institute of Fine Arts at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University.
